I want to invite all of you and your spouses/kids to a party at my home on Tuesday, the 25th. Let's begin at 6, okay?
In honor of Thanksgiving, I'll make a turkey (even though its a few days early). Hana has already volunteered to make cous cous for us. Would anybody else be interested in preparing a dish from your country? If you want to cook, you have to do it at my house on Tuesday before (or during) the party, so let me know and we can discuss it. How about kimchee or some Chinese or Vietnamese vegetable dish? What about a special dessert? I welcome your ideas.
In addition, please bring cds of some good music from your country so we can hear some different kinds of music.
Also, I am happy to buy all of the food and drinks. To help with the cost, however, I ask that each person contribute $5, if that's okay.
I will take care of some of the entertainment for the party (games), but if anybody would like to sing for us or play an instrument (I have a piano) or perhaps perform a funny skit, that would be wonderful.
Finally, if anybody would like to come early to help with the cooking and the setting up, that would be great. If you don't have a car and you would like to come home with me after the Culture Festival on Tuesday, I can take you, so just let me know.
