You have many, many possible choices for this logical division essay. You may choose one of the topics listed in the following exercises (3B, pp. 66-67; 3C, p. 67; or 4, p. 68) or you can create your own topic. If you choose to create your own topic, please email me with your thesis statement before Monday.
BTW (by the way), here is another topic that I think you may like: What does a person need to know if they want to travel/ or work/ or study/ or do business/ or do something else in your country?
FOR MONDAY:
1. Your first draft should include an interesting introduction using one of the methods we discussed in class (funnel, story, etc.). The introduction should end with a clear thesis that explains the subtopics that will be discussed (by you!) in your paper.
2. I also want you to prepare an outline of this essay that includes your thesis statement and the body paragraphs, just as I showed you in class.
3. Do the self-editing worksheet 4 (p.321) and then rewrite your first draft, if necessary.
