Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born in New York, and I lived there until age 12, so I probably still have some of my New York accent (everybody says so). My family moved to Florida in the 80's, and that's where I went to high school.

I went to college at Rutgers University in New Jersey. I was a student in the business school, majoring in accounting, but I didn't like it, and as a result, I wasn't a very good student. In my final year of college, I changed my major to English. When you study English at the university, it means literature, not ESL. I loved studying English and I became a happy person again.

After college, I moved to Houston to enter graduate school at Rice. I focused on American literature. While I was a student, I also taught ESL. I enjoyed teaching ESL a lot.

Also, while I was a student, I met my husband Elliott. A friend who knew both of us introduced us. Our first meeting was a "blind date," which means that we had never seen each other before.

Six months later, Elliott and I got engaged, and seven months after that, we got married. Since then, we have had 3 children--Avi (age 10), Reuven (age 7), and Yoel (age 5). You'll meet them soon. They're VERY ACTIVE!

When Yoel turned three and began preschool, I returned to teaching. I've been teaching at Rice and at the LCC since then. I enjoy teaching. It's a lot of fun for me, and its also rewarding to see everybody's progress.

But even more than that, I enjoy learning about the world from all of you. Our classroom is an exciting place, like a mini-United Nations. I don't have the opportunity to travel so much nowadays so I love the idea that the world is brought to me. Indeed, I love the fact that I learn something new all the time at this job.

I have enjoyed 5A and 5B very much so far this term, and I look forward to getting to know all of you better in the months to come.

Hi everyone! My name is Yulya, but you already got used to call me Julie, because it is much easy. So do not change this habit)).
Well, my life is already a long exiting story, but I'm not going to tell you about it all otherwise you get bored)).
My hometown is Moscow, capital of Russia. I was born there and I live there all my life.
I have just finished high school in Moscow and my major was chemistry and math, I studied not in regular school so I had more hours for that subjects. This school prepares teachers and psychologists. It was very exiting adventure.
I’m interested in make-up and photography. I had a certificate that I finished make-up school so if anybody wants me to do it, just ask me, I’ll be glad to help. If anybody also wants me to take pictures (make special photos) and correct them in PhotoShop, just ask. We will talk later about the price)))))).
I’m a very active person, I like to play volleyball, football (sounds strange, I know))), riding a bicycle, and lot more.
There is something about my private life. I have a boyfriend, we are engaged. He is the same age as me and he is a great DJ, I think.
Well, that’s it)).
