Hello students in 5A and 5B,
The purpose of this blog is threefold. First, and very importantly, it is for you to practice writing on a less formal yet regular basis. In other classes you may have kept journals. This is the modern version of the journal except that everybody else will have the chance to read your writing and respond to it as well. It will be more "conversation" than diary, in that respect. I will not be grading your posts, but you will receive credit for doing them. I will give you a new topic each week to think and write about.
The second purpose for this blog is for us to have some fun. This is a great way for all of us to communicate and get to know each other better. You can also use the blog to post items of interest, such as articles, pictures, invitations, etc.
Finally, I will use the blog to post different internet links for different activities such as on-line quizzes or songs that illustrate grammar or other lessons. These are not required for you to do, only if you have some extra time.
